Tom Kromer’s autobiographical story of his life as an underdog in the depression. “Waiting for Nothing.” Has just been published in England by Constable with the omission of one entire chapter of the original American edition, which was published by Knopf. In its place was a colored insert explaining that the contents of that chapter were too strong for any publisher to risk in these days of active censorship. The author, however knew nothing about the editing of this book until a copy of it arrived in this country.
